HOW DOES IT WORK? 

In the initial conversation we discuss the good and bad points of the room; the number of people that typically use the room at the same time; the primary function of the room; and the homeowner’s goal for the room. 

I like to briefly see the room prior to the redesign appointment to insure that I bring everything I might need to create a spectacular design on the big day! 

On the day of the make-over you are free to leave for a few hours while we work our magic. However, if you prefer to stay home, that's fine, too.  We remove almost everything from the room in order to really appreciate its features that are often hidden by furniture and accessories. Then we carefully bring in each piece and probably place them in a different arrangement that functions better and provides much more interest.  Tabletop accessories and artwork are regrouped to complement the new furniture arrangements.  With your prior permission we “shop” the rest of the home for additional accessories to accent the room.  Then you see the surprising transformation of your space and begin to enjoy it immediately!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REDESIGN A ROOM? 

The average room requires 3-4 hours but if it is finished early we will “tweak” adjoining areas with minor changes.

ARE YOU INSURED? 

Yes, I am fully insured for any damage that may occur in your home although I promise to handle your treasures with the same care as though they were mine.   

SHOULD I CLEAN BEFORE YOU COME?

Absolutely not!  As we move things we will vacuum and dust.  You are being treated to a thorough revamping of your room. 

WILL YOU MAKE OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE ROOM? 

Yes, I can leave written suggestions of other changes that could be made later as time and budget permit.  This could include new paint colors or fabrics or additional furniture. 

WHAT KIND OF GUARANTEE DO YOU HAVE? 

I am positive that you will love the room, especially after you have lived with it for two weeks.  After that time, if you still have concerns I will return and adjust the room to address those concerns.  When following the regular procedure I have never had to alter the redesign.

By editing we reduced the number of items on the shelves and grouped similar ones together.  We also hung a small piece on the back of the shelf wall to incorporate it into a vignette.
